Fins Coronavirus Guidelines Update
Fins Coronavirus Guidelines Update
Dear Parents/Swimmers,
You are no doubt aware that the Government advice regarding Coronavirus precautions has been updated.
The key change is that they are asking ANYONE with symptoms of a high temperature or a new persistent cough to self-isolate for 7 days.
This comes in line with our request earlier in the week, and indeed our terms and conditions, to not come to the pool if you or your children are unwell or seem to be coming down with something, and we would ask that you continue to follow this guideline.
In addition, we would like to stress the importance of regular hand washing and hope that you will continue to pass this message on to your children. Please do let us know if soap runs out before we spot it so we can replace it straight away. You will have seen our Poolside Operators also regularly cleaning all touch points with antibacterial cleaners and disposable kitchen towel. The chlorine in the swimming pool is known to kill the virus and thus also keeps the swimming equipment safe.
Fins will continue to operate following the official guidelines and information we are given by Public Health England and the individual school sites.
We have had a number of questions about what happens if lessons are cancelled. As always, if lessons have to be cancelled due to pool closure for any reason, the lesson is simply added onto the end of your current booking. If you are unwell and unable to attend classes, this is treated like a normal missed lesson. If lessons do need to be cancelled, we will let you know as quickly as we can via email and text. If you have recently changed your mobile number / email address and have not told us, now is the time!
We do also post information on our Facebook page so please do ‘like’ our page here.
You can find the latest UK information and guidelines online and the Public Health England advice here.
Keep well,
Fins Team.
