Pool helper

Pool helper

A pool helper is someone who supports the Level 2 Teacher delivering swimming lessons to children. Pool Helpers are used where the swimmers are school age and do not require as much support at the pre-school swimmers.

The pre-requisites for becoming a Pool Helper is that you have to be at least 14 years of age and have a swimming background. If you are over the age of 18, you must have an enhanced DBS (formally known as a CRB check).

Training is done by shadowing classes alongside an experienced Pool Helper.
