Great value for money on swimming lessons this half term...
One to One Swimming Lessons
Who? Open to everyone, including adults and those who do not currently swim with Fins Swimming Club.
What - Individual lessons for all swimmers from babies to adults, any ability.
Where? At Kings International College, Camberley.
When? Runs for 5 days, from Monday 22nd - Friday 26th October inclusivebetween 8 - 10am and 1.30 - 4.30 pm and 6 - 8 pm.
The cost will be a total of £100 for 5 x half hour lessons.
Stroke Technique Lessons
Who?Open to swimmers who are working towards Stages 4, 5, 6 & 7.
What? These hour-long Stroke Workshops are a master class covering all four strokes. There will be 8 swimmers to each lane for this workshop with the pool divided by ability. As an accredited teacher training centre these Stroke Clinic Workshops will run in conjunction with the Level 2 Teacher Training course and will be taken by qualified teachers who are working towards their higher teaching qualification.
Where? At Kings International College, Camberley.
When?Monday 22nd to Thursday 25th October, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.
The cost will be just £5.00. You can attend as many of the Stroke Workshops over the four days as you wish.
For those wanting to attend a Stroke Workshop each evening, we are running a special offer whereby if you book three sessions, the fourth will be free!
Group Lessons
Who?Open to swimmers aged 3 years and above; these are classes suitable for children up to and including Stage 4.This particular course unfortunately is not suitable for nervous beginners. As a minimum, children must be happy entering the water, be able to swim 5m using a noodle with support, be happy to wash faces and have water showered from above.
What? This intensive course is open to Fins swimming Club members in conjunction with the teacher training course. There will be 6 classes of 4 children running every half hour.
Where? At Kings International College, Camberley.
When? Monday 22nd to Friday 26th October, between 11am and 1pm.
The cost will be £15 - Monday to Friday inclusive! If you would like to book a second place for the same child the additional cost is only £10 in total! That's 5 x one hour of swimming lessons for £25!
We have a choice of One to One or Group Crash Courses organised for the Summer Holidays for week commencing 26th July and 2nd August. Courses are being held at Farnborough Hill School, Farnborough and Sherfield English, Romsey. One to One Lessons £125, One to Two Lessons £100 per swimmer These lessons are available to swimmers of all ages and availability 5 X 30 minute lessons Monday to Friday at the same time every day w/c 26th July and 2nd August Group Intensive Lessons £45 Children will be placed in groups according to their ability 5 X 30 minute lessons Monday to Friday at the same time every day w/c 26th July and 2nd August Book Here
Following the latest Government announcement, Fins are pleased to be able to run a course of 5 x daily One to One or One to Two lessons (teacher to swimmer ratio) at Farnborough Hill School and Sherfield English pool (near Romsey). A course of 5 x 30 minute lessons, held at the same time each day of half term costs £125. If two swimmers share a teacher the weekly cost is £200 for both swimmers (£100 each). This is a really great opportunity for swimmers to really boost their swimming skills as lessons are tailored to the individual's ability, especially after having had such a long break due to Coronavirus. Sunday 1st November 2020 Parents and Swimmers, In the knowledge of the government measures announced last night, we have taken the very tough decision to cancel all lessons from Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th November before the national lockdown commences on Thursday 5th November. This will be for the duration of the lockdown and until swimming pools are able to reopen. We take the health and well being of all incredibly seriously and feel that this is the best decision to keep everyone as safe as possible. As with any pool closure, you will not have lost the lessons, they will simply be added to the end of your booking. Dear Parents and Swimmers, Thank you to everyone who completed our survey, we are so delighted to see that many of you are looking forward to returning to swimming lessons at some point soon, we can't wait to see you! You may have just heard Boris Johnson's address to the House of Commons regarding further lockdown restrictions lifting. Unfortunately, swimming pools are to stay closed for the moment. Once we do get the go-ahead, we can open the Kings and Romsey pools very quickly to run a summer programme and will let you know about this as soon as we can. Frimley, Carwarden and Farnborough Hill pools will remain closed over the summer. Stay safe and well and we look forward to seeing you soon.
We hope you are all keeping well during these unprecedented times. Throughout this recent period, we have taken Government advice with the priority being the health and well-being of all. In the knowledge of these on-going measures and the need for people to continue to be socially distant, we are having to cancel the May half term crash courses and move these to either the Summer holidays or the October Half Term holidays. The dates/times for the 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 lessons in the Summer holidays are as follows: Week 1: commencing 27th July, every 30 minutes between 8am and 8pm; Week 2: commencing 3rd August, every 30 minutes between 8am and 8pm; Week 3: commencing 10th August, every 30 minutes between 8am and 9am, 11am and 8pm; Week 4: commencing 17th August, every 30 minutes between 8am and 9am, 11am and 8pm. Week 5: commencing 24th August, every 30 minutes between 8am and 10am, 1pm and 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 8pm. The dates/times for the 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 lessons in October Half Term are as follows: Week 1 only: commencing 26th October, every 30 minutes between 8am and 10am, 1pm and 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 8pm. Please note that the Easter and May crash courses were for 4 days, due to the Bank Holidays, however the Summer and October courses are for 5 days, therefore there would be a difference to pay of £15 per swimmer. Of course, in these unprecedented times, you will not be expected to make this payment at this time. Once the courses are confirmed as going ahead, we will contact you the week before the course, to take payment for this. If you have any questions please email us on office@finsswimmingclub.org. What's happening to the Awards Ceremony? Awards ceremony due to be held on 29th March – this has been cancelled, all who confirmed that they would be attending, have been contacted. What's happening with Easter Crash Courses? These have been cancelled and we have moved swimmers to the May crash courses, where possible. Please email us with individual queries unless you have already contacted us regarding these. What's happening with badges and certificates? Badges / certificates - if you had already ordered these to be sent to the pool, these have already been printed and will be given out at the pool when lessons re-open. If you have recently placed an online order, these will be fulfilled on our return to the Office. What's happening with regular lessons? Currently, these are cancelled on the system to reconvene week commencing 20th April; it is now appearing unlikely that we can restart lessons then, however, we will update the system on a weekly basis. Any further cancellations will result in your/your swimmer's block of lessons moving along again. You can always check your block booking dates via your home portal. What happens for children starting school in September? Children starting school in September - we will contact our ‘Rising 5’ parents next term when lessons are re-opening to find out what days are convenient for you and then over the summer holidays will arrange a new class for your child. Will I still get my trial lesson? If you have a trial lesson booked, we are holding the space for you and will move your trail along to the following week, week by week until we can reopen lessons.
